When I think of summer, I don’t picture big resorts or crowded beaches.

I think of home, the backyard pool, the sound of splashing water, and the smell of sunscreen mixed with lemonade. Those long, lazy afternoons when time didn’t seem to matter.

Back then, it didn’t take much to make a perfect day. Just a swimsuit, a few snacks, and all the time in the world. We spent hours jumping in and out of the pool, laughing until the sun dipped low and our skin smelled like sunshine.
